Entry for September 21, 2005
Just thought I'd share a couple of cute occurances here...
We've been limiting the pacifier for Alyssa and trying to really make it disappear except for at bedtime. Alyssa is so attached to her pacifier that it is hard for her though. She has started pulling out a family picture that I have laminated for the kids to play with and bringing it to us crying. When we ask her what is wrong she points to the picture of her on it with her paci in her mouth. Then she looks at us with her teary eyes and says... "paci, paci" Such a sad little face... but we really need to put some limits on it's use now.
Then yesterday she and Ashley came out of my closet with huge grins on their faces. I have Angela's clothes in there too and they had pulled a dress that is 12 months off of the hanger and put it on Alyssa... it fits her across the shoulders, but it is about eight inches too short and you can see her diaper peaking out from the bottom. The waist line is at her chest and it just looked too funny!
And lastly... my boy is growing up. He asked me this morning if he could walk to the bus stop by himself now. I'm not ready to let him do that, but I told him I could stop at the far corner and just watch him from there instead of walking all the way down to the bus stop.
