Entry for October 18, 2005
I found the diamond. I had just about given up and went into the kitchen to look one last time and picked up a towel and it dropped out of it. I haven't gotten around to calling around and seeing what it will cost to reset it, but at least I have it when I do get around to doing that.
This week is fall break at school. The kids had school yesterday and today. Ashley is at the zoo on a field trip and Alex is having a pizza party this afternoon in his class. Tomorrow, Thurs, and Friday are all no school days so we should have fun getting out and doing some fun things.
Rich is getting his first experience with interviews from the other side of the desk. He has three positions that he gets to review resume's for and decide who to call in for interviews. There are a few others that are giving their input, but he ultimately gets to make the hire decision on the three positions. He was reading through resume's last night and was just amazed at the general lack of resume style that many of the people had. He said colleges really need to focus on resume writing for their students a lot more than they do. He is glad that with his buisness degree he got a lot of practice and practical application of making his resume.
I get to be the subsitute choir director for choir practice next Sunday. The choir director is out of town and so she twisted my arm and talked me into it. We'll see how it goes. It's one thing to conduct the songs in Sacrament meeting and other meetings- it's another to direct a choir rehersal. eek!
Gotta go run and get Ashley from school.
