It's been a week

I was so blessed last week by wonderful friends who had me bring over my laundry to wash at their houses.

I'm pleased to announce that today I'm back in the laundry buisness again. :) We just got our new washer and I've already got a load in it! :)

Now we just have to wait for the oven part to fix that appliance. Oh... I don't think I mentioned it on here, but the oven part is backordered until.....























jan 5th!!!!! I know, I cried when I heard that. I was a little depressed about it for a few days, but I'll survive. We will get through christmas without an oven, and still eat a bunch of yummy food.

I found a microwave cookbook in my cabinet the other day that I had forgotten we had, so I've been getting some ideas from that. I've made biscuits and cornbread in my electric skillet, and grilled cheesy garlic bread on the griddle... I've got friends passing me their tried and true and favorite crock pot recipe's, and generally I can make a regular meal off of the stove- so I've just been cooking as normal and trying to figure out optional ways to make our bread portions of meals- or skipping them.
