Entry for February 20, 2006

The kids got to play in snow for the first time in a few years. :) We got snow on Friday night. Rich cleared off the driveway and the kids played outside for about 2 hours on Saturday. I was able to run out to the store and get a few things that we needed. We didn't think things through though because Saturday night we got more ice, and then again Sunday night. Church was cancelled, and School was cancelled, but Rich was going to try and go to work. He wasn't able to get the driveway cleared until this afternoon when we thought of hooking up the garden hose to the hot water heater and spraying down the driveway with that to melt the ice. He's out right now picking up some rock salt and deicer to have on hand for tomorrow since we are supposed to get more rain/ice tonight.
