Saturday is a special day... random thoughts

So it's time to get ready for Sunday here today. I feel like I haven't been to church in a while- which it has been since we were out of town one week and then sick last week. I'm out of the habit of getting everything organized on Saturdays... it's amazing how just a few weeks of not doing it throws you off. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a wonderful pleasant experience. Hopefully I'll get a chance to listen to the messages during the first hour and for the next two hours I'm just hoping to have enough helpers in the nursery to prevent the domino effect that crying can cause. I forgot to ask another parent to bring snack again, so I need to make sure I pack stuff for that as well today so it's all ready tomorrow.

I'm trying to make out my grocery list this morning and it's giving me a headache... the software program I use is just not cooperating and a new program I want to try isn't either. I should go back to the old pen and paper method of planning, but I'm stubborn and want to make this technology work for me and I wind up spending far more time working on these things than I should.

As the weather is getting colder and colder I'm resigned to the fact that I'm not going to loose enough weight to get into a smaller pair of jeans that I have four pairs of sitting in my closet so I think today will be jeans shopping- alone without my four tagalongs and hopefully I can find a pair or two that will fit and work for this winter without costing an arm and a leg to buy. I like the good quality jeans much better, but I'm vain enough to think that next winter I'll have gotten back down into my smaller size so I won't need the jeans I buy now for more than one season... so I don't want to spend too much money on them. The reality though is I'll probably still need them next year because I have absolutely no will power when it comes to eating sweets. (I need a little eyeroll smilie face here... lol!)

Hi Julie
I have a few pairs of pants in my closet that I'm only keeping "in case" I ever lose enough to fit into them again sometime, too. We're just being prepared for the future cuz you never know what might happen! - Shawna
