Day 7- Legoland

Ok... I'm struggling with getting pictures on here at a good quality, so I'm just going to go ahead and write up about our trips and stuff, and the pictures will just have to wait... :)

Southern California Trip- Day 7- Legoland.
We woke up this morning and it was COLD!!! We were sure it would warm up though... we did have long pants we could have the kids wear, and so we dressed them as warmly as we had clothes for. Everyone had a sweatshirt or sweater, except for me. We had our breakfast and headed over to Legoland.

At Legoland while we were waiting for the gates to open, Rich took pity on me and let me wear his sweater. We were all huddled up trying to break the wind so it wouldn't feel so cold.

Finally the park opened and we were off... We rode a little boat ride first that just went around and showed the Lego creations of different places...

Then we rode some other little rides and a rollercoaster. It still wasn't warming up and we went inside and saw a 3D sound and lights show. After that we meet up with Rich's brother Dave and Amanda and then we just spent time riding rides and having fun! All in all it was a fun day.

When the park closed we went back to the hotel and surfed around and found a mexican restaurant near the beach. We drove over there and it was a really neat little place just a couple blocks from the beach. Even with our large group of 10 they were able to seat us within about 15-20 minutes. It was just the right level of noise that I didn't feel like I had to keep the kids really quiet. It was a neat family friendly mexican place. Too bad I can't remember the name of it or I would let everyone know! (Maybe Rich or his mom remember and can put a comment on this post to let us know. :))

After a yummy dinner we went back to the hotel. Everyone came to our room and we stayed up and played some games for a while. Then Alex, Ashley, and Alyssa got to go and spend the night with Dave and Amanda at their hotel and have a slumber party with them. Rich and I only had one child to put to bed! wow!

The next morning we packed up everything, packed the car up and waited for Dave and Amanda to bring the kids back. Then we got into the car and drove... and drove... and drove... Alex got sick and threw up all over himself and the stuff sitting around him. After a few of those he stopped and thankfully no one else got sick! We drove from SanDiego to Albuquerque and then stopped for the night. The next day we drove the rest of the way home and it was nice and uneventful!
