let's see... hm...

What to say, what to say...

Angela was up until 1am on Monday night... she didn't want to fall asleep. Last night she went to sleep around 11 pm...

Rich is still out of town- he'll be home friday around MIDNIGHT...

The kids are doing fine...

I'm surviving. I don't want to complain, so I'll vent here and then I'll be over it... :) I know way too many people who have to deal with Daddy gone for buisness A LOT MORE than I do.

Oh... we are hoping we have solved a problem we've had with Angela. Our three older kids have never had much of a problem with being in the car. As babies they would be fine in the car for quick and long trips. Of course there was the occasional crying and fussing and crankiness- but overall they didn't have any problem being in the car and in carseats.

And then came Angela...

She has always since birth not liked being in the car. She doesn't like to get into her carseat, she cried when she was younger because she didn't want to be in the carseat. Now that she's older she just yells that she wants to get out and tries to climb out of her seat. When she was smaller she couldn't physically get out of her seat, but she has since figured out how to push the chest clip down to her stomach, and then pull her shoulders and arms out of the arm straps. I'm sure given enough time she would wiggle her way up and out of the seat all together (I stop and have to fight with her to get back into the seat belt correctly when I realize what she's done) It's extremely annoying, but even moreso- it's just plain unsafe and has made it difficult for me to feel like I can do any quick trips anywhere because it takes so long to get her into her carseat initially, and then when she tries to climb out if I have to stop once or twice on the drive to put her back in...

So... we looked around at new carseats to see if we could find one that

1- she would like, so she wouldn't try to get out of it so much.
2- It would be more comfortable for her, so she wouldn't try to get out of it so much.
3- It would be more difficult for her to move the chest clip down to climb out of, so she COULDN'T get out of it. :)

We are planning on driving out to California next month and decided we needed to do something before then so hopefully our drive isn't 22 hours of me telling Angela to put her arms back in her seat belt...

Last night I bought this:

I bought it online with free shipping, so hopefully we'll get it in the next week. She is excited about her butterfly carseat and I HOPE this will make her more cooperative in the car.
