Magnolia tree

Last year we bought a magnolia tree to put in our front flower garden. In the fall when we had the big storm, one of the casualties was the top of the magnolia tree. It snapped right off. I've worried a bit about this tree. It has an odd shape and looks much more like a bush than a tree, but I was so happy to notice this morning after taking kids to school that it had flowered. A nice big beautiful flower to give me a smile for the day.

5 more mornings

We have 5 days of school left this year. The last few weeks always are jam packed with activities, concerts, parties etc... By the time the last day of school comes around everyone is ready to just sleep in and relax and have no schedule for a little while.

We are ready for days by the pool and a slower schedule. That is once we get swimsuits for everyone... Ashley has hit a hard age to find one. We've been to 13 stores so far with no luck. :)

What to say...

I think I've logged onto blogger so many times and opened up the page and then wondered... what to say.  I get to feeling like I'm just getting through the day to day stuff.  Nothing big happening, and nothing really great and nothing really bad...

We have two more weeks of school left and I think everyone is ready for summer break.  The weather has been beautiful and we have been getting outside a lot and playing while we have such great weather.  Alyssa and Angela have a posse of friends that all live across the street and behind us so they are all having so much fun riding bikes and running from house to house and playing every minute of the day after school that they have.  I know this summer will be full of kids running in and out of the house from one house to the other.  The moms and I will have to have a running text loop going with who has feed the neighborhood popsicles each day so they don't wind up talking their way into just popsicles for their daily nutrition.

I've got pictures I need to get up on the family blog from our trip to Arizona at spring break... and zoo field trips and other goofy shots...

Catch up

Has it been a month??? I was doing so good with regular posts and then this last month flew by without any.

In the last month we had allergies, grandparents visit, allergies, spring break, allergies, dr appointments, school programs, allergies...

See something that's been a big deal? My allergy medicine that I had used for the last two years was taken off the market late last year and after trying the different options of medicines this year and still dealing with almost daily allergy induced headaches and other symptoms, I made the decision to start allergy shots.

So now twice a week I get to go and get a shot, and hopefully next year my allergies will not be a dominate part of my day to day life during the spring months.

Decorating

One thing that I find us happening now while we have been living for such a long time- the longest I have ever lived somewhere in my life (7 years in this house, 8 years in ok)! I find myself actually decorating more than I ever have in the past. Lately this space has been on my mind to figure out something to put up above the tv.
